The last week of kindergarten was very exciting. On Monday we of course had our moving up ceremony.
We wanted all kids to go home with some books to read this summer so before our ceremony we picked books. At the end of the ceremony you picked up summer packets as well. Be sure to complete these and bring them back for a prize.
I think the kids did an excellent job during the ceremony. I had some videos but am having trouble getting them posted.
On Wednesday we had our last morning assembly of the school year. We won the lower school box top count with 297 box tops from our room in the past two months. Keilani and ZyQuan also won Mr and Mrs Life Skills for their hard work throughout the year.
We also had field day on Wednesday.
Jeida took home the first ribbon with the foot race.
Ms. Pitre coaching the students on how to be successful in the 3 legged race.
Tanea and Kaden got ribbons for the 3 legged race.
Jeida got a ribbon for throwing out noodle turned pigeon plane the farthest in the noodle javelin.
At tug of war we beat out all the other kindergarten classes.
After field day was over we had fun tossing our pigeon noodle plane.
By Friday our classroom was cleaned and packed up. I have really enjoyed working with all our smart, silly, creative, and amazing students this year. Ms. Pitre was an excellent coteacher and THANK YOU a million times over to all our students' parents. Having parents who support the work we do in the classroom makes our job easier and more joyful. Best of luck in first grade everyone. Feel free to visit any time.
