Playworks

Playworks is a play-based learning program that is an important part of our school culture. Our Playworks coach, Coach Crutch, leads students during recess and class game time in activities that help them build leadership, cooperation, and a sense of fairness.

Here we are playing "Dragon Tag." If you tag someone they become part of your dragon tail and you must cooperate to run together.

In this picture, we are playing a game to develop awareness of our surroundings. Students act as detectives to figure out how the circle has changed.

In this game we practice self control and team work as we try to hide the ball from Coach Crutch.

Here Coach Crutch is teaching us the basics of volleyball.
